Volunteer

Earth Overshoot's Membership Engagement Team is here to support local outreach with a variety of group, individual, in-person and virtual activities including:

* Starting or joining an EO chapter in your area.

* Writing Letters to the Editor of your local and regional newspapers about how unsustainable population growth and ecological overshoot affects your community and suggest Earth Overshoot’s solutions.

* Hosting a virtual or in-person gathering or information booth at a local event

* Proposing an Earth Overshoot speaker for a local or virtual event

* Building a local volunteer and fundraising database

* Following Earth Overshoot on social media and share its posts to friends and followers.

* Contacting potential partners and organize an in-person or virtual film screening of 8 Billion Angels at your local library, school or community center.

* Representing EO on local initiatives:
- Tree planting
- Open Space Protection and Preservation
- Climate Marches
- Environmental Cleanups

Time Commitment: One hour virtual meeting every two months. Occasional emails and calls depending upon specific local projects.

Earth Overshoot's Membership Engagement Team is looking for supporters to help grow the Earth Overshoot brand internationally by:

* Developing content and communications for international and local use
* Assisting with public media relations strategies
* Conducting digital communication campaigns
* Managing communications with volunteers and donors
* Providing training and resources to local EO volunteers

Skills and/or Experience Desired:

* Skills and creativity in writing, graphic design, website design etc.
* Social Media savvy
* Experience working collaboratively as a team

Time Commitment: One hour virtual meeting per month with occasional work via email in between meetings and on projects as needed.
